Using Acupuncture to treat kids is gaining popularity as a common method of treatment. When Western Medicine and medication fails, lots of families turn to Acupuncture and are amazed at the results they see after such a short period of time. Acupuncture is a safe, natural and effective approach to paediatric care and there are many techniques we can use to treat children that are non-invasive and pain free.

The symptoms we treat include: digestive problems (constipation, diarrhoea, tummy aches and pains, colic, wind, very smelly poos and wind, fussy eater), immune weakness (constant colds, flus, chronic coughs, recurrent ear infections, recurrent upper respiratory infections, UTIs, asthma), Skin conditions (eczema, school sores, rashes), sleeping problems, ADHD, troublesome teething, myopia related symptoms and more.

Each treatment plan is customised for your child depending with their presenting symptoms. As children are still growing and developing their Qi (vital energy) is strong and very responsive, this is one of the reasons why Acupuncture is so effective on children. For this reason, the acupuncture needles inserted only need to stay in for a matter of seconds rather than be left in like they commonly do with adults + there are many non-needle options available too.

Acupuncture can also be used alongside conventional paediatric care to help address issues that your child is showing early symptoms of before they manifest into a major issue. Children can be treated from birth and increasingly more parents are turning to acupuncture as an effective and necessary method of reestablishing and maintaining health within their children’s constitution.
